Re: Disciplinary et Virtus plastic armies?

Appreciate all your comments and as always I am your most humble and obedient servant, Pvt Weezle stationed at, Freedom Hill, head waters of...

Re: Disciplinary et Virtus plastic armies?

Looking at Victrix Germans, they look really nice with lots of character and 60 figs for $47 from Badger games here in the states (Wisconsin). Now, the Badger site only has Early Imperial Romans. Would they work in Briton as well as Germany? Have to finish the book "Swamp Fox" how Francis Marion sav...

Disciplinary et Virtus plastic armies?

Ok, in the past I have always studied a historical period, bought into a set of rules then created my armies. I want to switch this up. I would like to get a head-start on my armies while I study the time period. Have already bought into DV as I have NEVER been disappointed by a Lardies product. And...

Re: Sharpe Practice Characteristic

I'm not seeing where the FAQ states you can't use SP on the same unit more than once in a turn.

Formation "no shock"

I do love SP2 but, I do tend to over think things.......especially as I am a solo gamer. That said, If a unit has "no shock" under FORMATION on their roster I know that means they cannot join other groups to form up if any of the groups have any shock at the time of creation. Sooooo, does this also ...

Re: Milita formation broken by terrain

Agree with all above. Thanks gentlemen for your comments. I now feel comforted by that knowledge I have not missed something. Really enjoy watching the Lardy vids and they have helped me understand and appreciate the game but, also realize, don't take all details as gospel. Years in iron and curr fa...

Re: Milita formation broken by terrain

By the way, I do see where formations are broken by linear objects but, that's all formations, right? In the video Rich called the ground, rough ground and earlier in the video he implies that milita formations suffer higher penalties when trying to move in anything but open ground. Hope I'm not ove...

Milita formation broken by terrain

Been moving back and forth between COC and SP 2. Also watching Swamp fox to refresh memory. Have never used milita in our games. In the video a milita formation is broken by rough ground. For the life of me, I can't find where this is described in the rules. I've also heard it told that milita forma...

Re: Merits of Militia. Overpowered?

I use magnetic bases. Started playing milita with ten men per stand. Now play with eight per stand and kept the same ten man stand size. I have also created a characteristic called "Frightners" I give it to British regulars and it acts just like "Tomahawk" when they directly toward and come within 1...
