Re: 1/300 Scale Ships

Isn’t it a pity that the warlord games black seas ships are 1/700th. I have Prussian, Austrian and French armies in 10mm Pendraken and a good number of books on WAS. I just like the larger cuffs and turn backs. As with all wargaming the cost of accessories is often prohibitive in the larger scales (...

Re: Battalion level WW2 Now called "O" Group or the story of "Oooooh"

There’ a good range of armour in 10mm (Pendraken), but anyone with IABSM in 15mm then from the look of it a section would be a platoon so in effect a company would become a battalion. However some of the bases wouldn’t be present because they are organic to the rifle platoons so it appears, no Bren ...

Re: French Bicorne Styles?

I’m not sure if the French infantry wore the large plumes on campaign. As I use the British army for gaming, but the French that I’ve faced across the table have been the parade ground uniform with bearskins for the grenadier companies, the voltigeurs with long floppy plumes and even plumes for the ...

Re: Corps Blimey

Thanks ArchDuke I was hoping it would be a corp level game for IABSM with multi players & PBEM, but given the changes in coms. software it could easily don with a staff player sending orders to a corps player who ...... ad so on until Odets were allocated to the Lt. Col. commanding his battalion who...

Corps Blimey

In the lard blog I was looking back to 2009 and came across a game at a show being played called corps Blimey.
Does anyone know anything about it? It may have been a development name for a game being planned?

War of 1812 Canada v USA

Has anyone written a scenario for this or anything in the Lard Magazines or in the Lard blog?
Not the 1814 debacle which involves Fairly large forces, but the fighting along the Niagara River, Lakes Erie and Ontario.

10mm figures

A member of my old club in Stoke-on-Trent has just sent to me some photographs of his infantry based on 20mm X 20mm bases 4figures per base in 2 ranks. Instead of spacing them evenly, he has placed some shoulder to shoulder in the centre of the base others offset to the left and right. This looked a...
