DAK Army List for Chain of Command

DAK image
The Afrika Korps was first deployed top North Africa in early 1941 after the British success in Operation Compass. Predominantly made up of Panzer units of the 5th Light Division and 15 Panzer Division, the list we have chosen here to best represent this force is a Schutzen platoon with appropriate support options. This is a firepower-heavy unit, ideal for taking the wind out of the sails of a British attack. This list is for the early Desert War period, Rommel’s campaign in Cyrenaica, up to the end of 1941.

Very nice, I actually plan on using these lists at some point once I get the forces and table together. I have to know, when can we expect the next installment of the campaign?

Great list! I like the inclusion of a motorcycle reconaissance squad. But how does it move?

got my Perry’s DAK + 8th Army, still to look in the boxes lol,
I take it that you don’t have to go with the DAK Plt in the list above ? to MG heavy, would like to give my 8th Army a sporting chance.
1 mg of 3 men plus 6 rifles per section

Bill, for the challenge use the 8th army boys to blind the DAK machine gun teams with smoke, it works wonders.

    Hi guys,

wonderful work on the list. I notice on the support list no Pak 38 in the table at the bottom and no PanzerJager 1 in the list.

Just for info only Panzer 1a were deployed an used in Africa.

    Thank you,

    Helen

New information has come to hand indicating that the 15th Panzer Division received 11 Pz Kpfw I Ausf B in North Africa. It is to be noted that Panzer Regiment 5 initially was supplemented with 25 Pz Kpfw I Ausf A with a further 25 Pz Kpfw I Ausf A as replacements. I was incorrect in stating that there we no Ausf B in North Africa. Panzer Tracts No 1-2 came to the rescue.
